JP, The Original Stay Free Maxi Dad is also known as Jerry Price, Head Shred of Shred Stixx. :) He's been my dear friend for over twenty years; he and my KB have been friends (um, what's the man term for heterosexual male dear friends ...that's what they are then) for a quarter of a century. He's got something here with his Stixx. Like Kent, JP grew up with water being a big part of his life. At home he had the ocean, on family trips it was the lake. At long last he's been able to combine those two loves....and shares that with the world. Click on our wake surfing pix link to see one reason this is rapidly becoming a "must have" for families. Like our friend Rob (Dr.) Magnelli says, water skiing is a great family sport because each person takes turns being the center of attention...no matter what their level. It's even more so with wake surfing....you can actually talk to the surfer...as they surf. You're a part of the ride:)
So thanks JP for being both our friend, we love your guts and we're joyful to at long last see you find the perfect tool to share your boyhood joy with others. Right On Buddy, right on... And Happy Birthday again:) JP didn't pose for the photo above; it was one of those private on the water moments, surfer to crew. I couldn't resist the photo opportunity, and sharing the real JP:)
And below, a sampling of a life long surfer, far away from ocean, getting his surf fix.....
Of course it's not the same ..... it's good though:) Same positions, in some respects a lot less work.
At least you don't have to paddle out to, and into, the wave.
Yikes, he got a little behind ... and under the water...I think he crashed... But I don't recall and he's on the water again Click on Wake Surfing Pix to see how close the boat crew is to JP
Aaahhh fun, some one must have the fun, and these pix were taken on Kent's B'Day...the fun was spread round for one and all:) Thanks again JP.
