Our friend Jerry Price, [Head Shred of Shred Stixx (.com)] moved from Anderson Lake in Morgan Hill to Discovery Bay on the Sacramento Delta a few years ago. It took us a while to visit his new home, and when we finally did he told us he needed to prepare us ... because he lived in "The Hood" at Discovery Bay.  

What was he talking about?  Discovery Bay is a nice, upscale, on the water community.  "The Hood"?  

Above is a picture of Jerry's next door neighbor's place and the punks that hang out there.

  This is the view  from Jerry's back door ... and he calls this

  "The Hood"?

Yeah, well just look at those punks hanging out next door,

the property owner has no control over them, just look at them,

  they have no respect for private property... they'll

  walk all over it, poop all over it ... they have no

  respect for anyone's property!  They make all kinds of noise, 

  this pix was taken about 8 am, they were obnoxious.

The boat at the bottom of the photo (right) is JP's neighbor to the west, you've seen it above with the punks hangin' out ... there are several bays at Discovery Bay. JP's Bay (I'm sure it has another, more official name) is the farthest away from "fast water", the Sacramento Delta, therefore it's the least expensive, ergo (in JP's mind) "The Hood"!

 
  The beginning of your understanding as to why JP calls his home "The Hood"; the home on the left is the last in Jerry's Bay, before reaching the channel to fast water. From JP's dock you hang a left and head north, as you reach the home on the left you hang another left, near the gas pumps, and then, as you approach the  fast water you pass three more bays before you reach fast water, aka, the Delta.

I'm not going to comment on each photo because I don't remember where I took them,; remember three bays to fast water...I shot down each bay...

Ok, now I understand why JP says he lives in the hood! His place is awesome, and then you see the neighbor's, and then the bay, the channel, bay two, the closer to fast water (i.e.  the actual Sacramento Delta) the more incredible the house...looking at these I think I'm missing a few.
